There is a group of non- invasive treatments that combat the signs of aging using aesthetic medicine and non-surgical procedures such as skin peels, facial fillers, laser techniques, mesotherapy, Botox, laser hair removal and radiofrequency treatments.

Mesotherapy is used to treat and prevent common signs of ageing skin such as deep lines, sagging skin and ashen appearance. Mesotherapy involves multiple micro-injections of vitamins, hyaluronic acid, homeopathic medications, injected into the layer of skin just below the surface, using a very fine needle in the areas of concern (face, neck...). Facial mesotherapy delivers vitamins, minerals and amino acids directly into the skin to nourish and rejuvenate. It also promotes collagen production and elastin for a firm, radiant, youthful and glowing appearance.

It is common to perform six initial sessions at two week intervals and then schedule one serie of maintenance once a month.

Body mesotherapy is used to treat different pathologies such as cellulite, stretch marks, sagging skin and local fat deposits. It involves a serie of micro-injections of homeopathic medication into the mesoderm or middle layer of skin to deliver healing or corrective treatment to a specific area of the body. The specific formula for cellulite treatment improves circulation both venous and lymphatic; it disolves fat lobules trapped between connective tissue bands and thus creates a tight, smooth skin surface; it improves lymphatic drainage and circulation which helps to flush out toxins.

The results of mesotherapy will increase if you combine it with another treatments such as radio frequency, diet and exercise. It is recommeded to have 10-12 sessions once a week. After this initial period, 4 sessions every fifteen days and one session of maintenance once a month or every two months are recommended.

If your skin has been damaged by too much sun or if you have certain kinds of acne, acne facial scars, pigmentation problems, a fine wrinkling around the mouth and eyes, you might benefit from skin peels to give a clearer, even-toned and healthier skin, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin to keep a smooth and firm skin.

It is performed by applying a chemical solution ( phenol, salicylic, glycolic, trichloroacetic acids) to remove the outer layers of skin so that a smoother, more evenly pigmented, glowing layer skin can appear.

There are different types of peels and they are usually classified by the depth of the treatment which depends on the chemical solution: light peels, medium peels and deep peels.

The suitable season to have a peel done is at the beginning of November or at the end of March because of the sun exposure.

To better understand venous disease, it is important to know the purpose and function of the veins in the body. Healthy veins pump blood back to the heart through valves that stop the blood from flowing in the opposite direction. Sometimes these valves become weakened allowing blood flow backward and pool inside  the veins. The result is a high pressure build-up inside the veins leading to venous disease. That’s the case of varicose veins and spider veins which at the beginning can be an aesthetic problem, but left untreated, they can become a serious medical condition ending in a surgery treatment.

Sclerotherapy can be used for superficial varicose veins and spider veins. It is an office-based procedure that involves injecting a sclerosing solution directly into the varicose vein. The solution irritates the vein’s wall. Over time, the vein turns into scar tissue, is absorbed back into the body and fades from view. Following the procedure a presciption strength compression stocking must be worn for a short time in order to avoid inflamation, blood clots and also to help keep treated veins closed and reduce bruising. Previous to the procedure the physician will make  a physical examination and then you will undergo a Doppler ultrasound to correctly evaluate the condition of your veins and their valves. It helps the doctor map the veins in your legs.

The sessions are usually performed every fifteen days.
