GYNAECOMASTIA (MALE BREAST REDUCTION)

It is the enlargement of the male breast as a result of an abnormal increase in the glandular tissue during puberty due to hormonal changes or can be simply due to increased deposition of fatty tissue. The type of surgery to correct this problem will be determined by the surgeon. It may be possible to use liposuction to achieve a flatter more natural contour, or in some cases a male breast reduction needs to be performed to remove not only the excess fat, but also glandular tissue.
